Make requests using appropriate words.

Engage in discussion.

Reading - At this level, adults are expected to:

Follow a short narrative on a familiar topic.
Read and understand some words, signs and symbols.
Use reading strategies.

Writing - At this level, adults are expected to:

Complete forms and records.
Write to convey information.
Use written words or phrases.
Construct a simple sentence.
Punctuate a simple sentence with a capital letter and a full stop.
Use a capital letter for the personal pronoun 'I'.
Spell correctly some personal keywords and familiar words.
Write the letters of the alphabet using upper and lower case.
